Would you like to be notified when this website posts new content?  If so, all you have to do is send us an email at mp170th@cebridge.net or leave us your email address when posting comments to this website and we will include you in our notifications.  Usually we send out only one or two emails per month to everyone letting you all know when there has been new content added.  An email alert is usually the result of us wanting to spread the word about a new group of photos or other important information being added to the site.

In the past six months, this website has been viewed thousands of times by former members of the 170th MP Company.  Nearly all of them have been Fort Lewis era members (1984-2009), as you can tell by the photo submissions that we have received.  But now we are starting to reach out to Presidio era members (1971-1984) and we would like to welcome those members here as well.  We know that this website is pretty sparse for Presidio era  info, and we currently have no photos from the Presidio days, but we are committed to improving that.  If you served with the 170th MPC at the Presidio, you are invited to help us to create a fitting tribute to your era of service on this website.

We greatly appreciate everyone that has sent in photographs to be posted on this website.  How cool is it to see a 10, 20, or 30 year old photo of yourself that you have never seen before, that someone else has had in their private collection all of this time?  Almost every picture that we post here helps to reestablish a memory for someone.  How many times over the years did you think “I wish that I had taken a picture of …” (a friend, a place, an event)?  Someone probably has the photo that you wish you had taken.  You may have the photo in your collection that someone else wishes they had.  If you have pictures from your days in the 170th MPC, please allow us to post them here.  You can send in photo submissions by email to mp170th@cebridge.net and we will get them posted.

From time to time, we will use this space to share the usage statistics for this blog.  This blog was activated on July 15, 2008.  As of today, we are up to 5789 total page views.  Usage started out very slowly, but these numbers have been growing each month.  Our busiest day was October 22, 2008 when we had 276 page views.  Over at the forum / message board, we are now up to 41 registered members.  The forum was activated on August 3, 2008.

Our new forum / message board is now online and ready to be used.  This is where you really get to participate.  This is where you can post your memories, have discussions with other members, look up old friends, and let everyone know what you are up to these days.  The forum has been set up unmoderated at this time, which means you do not need to know a password or be preapproved to use it.  Just go there and get started.  There will be a permanent link to the forum on the right side of this blog.
