Lineage and Honors

170th Military Police Company Lineage

Constituted on November 12, 1942 as Company D of the 781st Military Police Battalion.  Activated on November 28, 1942 at Fort Custer, Michigan.  Inactivated on March 20, 1943 at Fort Custer, Michigan.  Activated on April 1, 1943 in Cairo, Egypt.  Reorganized on June 1, 1944 as the 170th Military Police Company.  Inactivated on March 5, 1946 in Cairo, Egypt.

Activated on January 11, 1971 at the Presidio of San Francisco, California under the 504th Military Police Battalion.  Moved in June 1984 from the Presidio of San Francisco to Fort Lewis, Washington along with the 504th Military Police Battalion.
